Creeping a blog for years can be an interesting thing, indeed. You can notice shifts and changes and trends, all picked up in subtleties of word, notici one's focus, interpreting the intent.

however, i'm glad to hear that i have changed over time. despite being quite fearful of change, thinking i'd not evolved in 6 years is even more frightening

And you have definitely come a long, long way. As we all have. We're no longer kids on your trampoline, without a care in the world. Some of your shifts have definitely been interesting to see :)
I often wish I still was that kid on the trampoline without a care. However, my trampoline is covered in snow, and not expected to survive the winter months... and so along with it will go my last hopes for inconsequential jumping.
If your optimism and creativity is dashed with as little as incliment weather, then I guess I can't really tell you you're wrong.
But I feel the wise point of view would be that there are millions of trampolines in this world, and infinitely more excuses to jump inconsequentially :) Call me wise or naïve, it's how I feel.
